Close to the Door maps over 500,000 accessible parking locations worldwide, checked and improved by the Disabled people who use them. Now we're building the other half: a portal for the councils and businesses responsible for those spaces.
For too long, the work of finding out whether a space is genuinely usable has fallen on Disabled people — digging through council websites, satellite images and out-of-date PDFs. The portal shifts that work to where it belongs, and gives you the tools to do it well.
What the portal does
- Claim and manage your parking — your bays, on the map Disabled drivers actually use.
- Measure what you provide — see how your bays compare against BS 8300 and DfT guidance, bay by bay.
- Hear from the community — reports and reviews reach you anonymised, so problems get fixed instead of festering.
- Show your work — verified accessibility data builds real trust with Disabled customers, visitors and staff.
